Both banks are expected to remain on hold, hence market attention is expected to be shifted towards their respective <strong>forward guidance<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We suspect that both banks may sound a bit more <strong>dovish <\/strong>than what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ironfx.com\/markets\/forex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the markets expect<\/a> and if so, we may see both the <strong>EUR <\/strong>\u0438 <strong>GBP <\/strong>retreating.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alphabet-surpasses-market-expectations\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Alphabet surpasses market expectations<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Market attention remains on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ironfx.com\/markets\/shares\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">US stock markets<\/a> as the earnings season is up and running. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alphabet<\/strong> released its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ironfx.com\/greenback-stabilises-yen-loses-ground\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report yesterday<\/a>, surpassing <strong>market expectations<\/strong> for the <strong>EPS<\/strong> \u0438 <strong>revenue<\/strong> figures and also announcing that <strong>capital spending<\/strong> in 2026 could double, <strong>cloud business<\/strong> booms, with both points possibly supporting its <strong>share price<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-amazon-s-earnings-report-next\"><strong>Amazon\u2019s earnings report next<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amazon<\/strong> invested around $125 billion mostly in its <strong>AI<\/strong> \u0438 <strong>data center<\/strong> infrastructure, while at the same time laid-off around 30k employees in the past four months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we highlight the release of its earnings report and besides the company\u2019s EPS ($1.96 expected) and revenue ($211-212 billion expected) figures, market may also focus on the company\u2019s forward guidance especially about its <strong>cloud business<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bitcoin-s-falling-below-72k\"><strong>Bitcoin\u2019s falling below 72k<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile in the crypto market <strong>Bitcoin\u2019s<\/strong> price dropped below 72k despite some earlier stabilisation and has now erased all the <strong>gains <\/strong>made since <strong>US President Trump\u2019s<\/strong> election (Nov24). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The renewal of the <strong>bearish tendencies <\/strong>for the crypto king was blamed on a reallocation of <strong>investments <\/strong>which we tend to agree with, yet the wider <strong>risk-off sentiment<\/strong> may have played a big part in Bitcoin\u2019s weakening, given its riskier nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-charts-to-keep-an-eye-out\"><strong><strong>Charts to keep an eye out<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>EUR\/USD<\/u> <\/strong>seems to have stabilised between the 1.1915 (R1) <strong>resistance line<\/strong> and the 1.1665 (S1) <strong>support level<\/strong>. We tend to maintain a bias for a <strong>sideways motion<\/strong> of the <strong>pair <\/strong>given also that the <strong>RSI indicator<\/strong> is running along the reading of 50, implying a rather indecisive market, yet ECB\u2019s interest rate decision may alter the pair\u2019s direction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should the <strong>bulls <\/strong>take over we may see EUR\/USD breaking the 1.1915 (R1) resistance line and start aiming for the 1.2115 (R2) resistance level. Should the <strong>bears <\/strong>take over, we may see the pair breaking the 1.1665 (S1) support line, thus paving the way for the 1.1465 (S2) support barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>BTC\/USD<\/u> <\/strong>dropped yesterday breaking the 74560 (R1) support line now turned to resistance.
